InDIVIDUAL ThEraPy
I work with individuals who struggle with relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, stress, anxiety, worry, anger, fear, depression, guilt and shame, grief and loss, substance use, and other challenges.
My role as a therapist is to witness and understand the many parts that make up your experience of self and empower you to live from a place of greater clarity and authenticity. Through this collaborative work, you can develop a compassionate and accepting perspective toward the parts of your inner experience that have been rejected, neglected, or silenced, and begin to hear the self-limiting stories that have been internalized through past hurt.
Couple Therapy
Let’s face it—intimate partner relationships have a way of bringing out both the best and the worst in us. What’s more, they also seem to activate the parts of us that have experienced trauma, pain, betrayal, abandonment, and other hurt in past relationships.
I enjoy working with couples across the lifespan and at all stages of their relationships. Whether you and your partner have been together for a few months or many decades, whether you seek to strengthen a good relationship, or heal a hurting one, together we can begin the journey toward a deeper level of satisfaction and shared meaning.
I enjoy working with couples who are having difficulty connecting and communicating, facing life transitions, and experiencing issues related to intimacy, affection, and trust.
I have advanced training in couple therapy and my preferred treatment approaches are Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Internal Family Systems (Intimacy from the Inside Out).
Career Counseling
I know what it’s like to spend a tremendous amount of time and energy becoming the person you think you ought to be, only to realize that you may not be the person you once imagined. This disconnect between expectation and reality can be profoundly unsettling, and yet it is also an exciting opportunity to cast aside self-limiting beliefs and become your most unbound, genuine self.
I provide career counseling to individuals of all ages who are considering a career transition, deciding if they would like to pursue formal education or training, or seeking guidance in looking for a new job. I offer an integrative approach to career counseling that includes support for the emotional issues that often co-exist with career concerns and hinder career success.
